Alberta Jean Ramsey, 77, of Akron, Ohio, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2025 with her husband and children by her side. She was born on May 9, 1948, Lochgelly WV.
On October 5, 1965, Alberta married the love of her life John P. Ramsey. They were married for 60 years and had five children.
Alberta was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her husband John and their five children; John D. Ramsey, Crissy Davis, Kelly (Chris) Conley, Katrina (Adam) McKelvey, and Holly (Jimmy) Ramirez. Also survived by, 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, brothers; Thurmond (Brenda) Morton, Daniel Morton and Sister Sharon (Merle) Johnson, along with her "adopted" daughter Myra Ollison.
Alberta is preceded in death by her parents Thurmond and Alberta Morton, brothers Ronald, Robert, James Morton and grandson Justin Witte.
Alberta will be remembered for her kindness, humor, and amazing cooking. Alberta enjoyed gardening, shopping, dancing with her grandchildren and loved her cat, Harley.
In accordance with Alberta's wishes, she will be cremated. Private family services will be provided at the cemetery.
