Alberta Willer Obituary

Published by Legacy on Nov. 10, 2025.
Alberta "Pat" Florence Willer, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2025, in The Woodlands, Texas.

She was born May 19, 1946 in Washington, D.C. to Everett Hinton Padgett and Alberta Florence Padgett (Thoes) and was the second youngest of five siblings: Orman "Pat" Meyer, Reverend Stanley "Mike" Denton, Carol Eugenia, Judith "Judy" Ann, and Everett "Buddy" Hinton, Jr.

Pat's life was defined by her kindness, creativity, and devotion to family. After marrying Colonel (Retired) Clinton Willer, she fully embraced the life of a military spouse - a role she carried with grace, strength, and love. Together, Pat and Clint built a life rooted in faith, family, and service, raising their two sons, Darrin James Willer and Brian Everett Willer, while moving wherever duty called.

Pat was artistic in so many ways and her hands were never idle. She sewed, cross-stitched, knitted, crocheted, and hand-stitched beautiful quilts. While stationed in Germany, Pat discovered her love for watercolor painting. What began as a quiet hobby soon became a lifelong passion. Her paintings captured the gentle beauty she saw in the world - soft colors, quiet moments, and deep feeling. After Clint retired from the Army and the couple settled in Franklin, Tennessee, she became not only an accomplished painter but a talented framer, while working at Frames Unlimited.

Pat had a sharp mind, joyful heart, and a contagious laugh. She was an avid reader and regularly challenged her mind with newspaper crossword puzzles. She treasured the time spent playing mahjong and cards with her dear friends.

Pat also believed deeply in giving back and regularly volunteered her time and talents. She donated many quilts, scarves, and gloves to charity.

Pat's heart was most at home wherever her family was. She was endlessly proud of her children and delighted in her grandchildren - Katherine Norris (Willer), Madeline Vallejo (Willer), Evan Willer, and Nathaniel Willer - each of whom brought her great joy and laughter.

Pat stayed strong throughout her battle with vascular dementia. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, creative touch, and unwavering love for those around her. Her legacy lives on in the art she created, the family she nurtured, and the countless lives she touched.

Interment will take place at St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Franklin, Tennessee, the spiritual home she cherished. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Dementia Society of America in remembrance of Pat.
