When I was 14, I went on a religious retreat to Florida. While I was there, I turned 15. The Saturday after I returned home mom was decorating one of her many beautiful cakes and she asked me to make some yellow roses to go onto that huge cake. A friend took me out to lunch. When I got back home, I walked into a living room full of friends and family screaming "Happy Birthday." She had me decorating my own birthday cake. That's a memory I'll never forget.
