Alberto Aceves Jr., 81 Beloved Husband and Father Alberto Aceves Jr. passed away peacefully on September 15, 2025 at the age of 81. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alberto Aceves Sr. and Manuela Aceves, and a sister, Julia Esther. Alberto was very proud of his 48 year career in law enforcement. He dedicated 25 years to the El Paso Police Department serving his community. Not one to slow down, he went on to serve another 23 years with U.S. Customs and Border Protection before retiring at the age of 69. Alberto’s legacy of strength and compassion will live on through his family. He will be deeply missed. Alberto is survived by Stella Aceves, his loving wife of 44 years. His children Alberto Aceves (Naomi), Alise Aceves (Dillon), Debra Aceves Campbell (John), Dora Munoz (Jerry) and Alberto Aceves III (Dara). He has 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. His siblings are Carmen Pell, Rosa Chavez, Manuel Aceves and Margarita Sosa. The family extends its deepest gratitude to Leticia Avila for her devotion in caring for Alberto. We would also like to thank the caring staff at Remarkable Hospice. Finally, we wish to thank the Loweree siblings for their unwavering love and support. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2025 from 5pm to 8pm at Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast with recitation of the rosary at 6pm. Funeral Mass will be Friday, September 26, 2025 at 10:30am at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church. Funeral Honors to follow at 12pm at Evergreen East Cemetery.
