Alberto Lomas Obituary
Albert, also known as "Beto" to friends and family, was born in Yuma, AZ on May 12, 1959, and lived in Calexico, CA, until he joined the United States Air Force at the age of 18. Throughout his life he lived in various cities in California, including San Bernardino, Santa Cruz and San Diego. The two jobs he enjoyed most were with Pacific Gas and Electric Company in Monterey and the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in La Jolla.
Albert was an avid reader and life-long learner. He loved nature, camping, fishing and BBQing.
He was a proud father of two sons, Alejandro Manuel Lomas and Alberto Manuel Lomas II. Sadly, he lost his first son, Alejandro (Alex), in July 2025.
He is survived by his mother Maria Luisa Lomas; son, Alberto Manuel Lomas II (wife Andrea); five sisters, Clara Lomas, Cecilia Lomas, Rosa McCombs (husband Jim), Mary Miller (husband Eric), Alma Cropsey (husband Herb); brother Joe Lomas; daughter-in-law Carolann Lomas and four grandchildren, Hannah, Rylee, Joshua and Raymond.
