Albrecht "Brec" Saalfield

My sincere condolences. Mr. Saalfield was my English teacher at Mercersburg Academy.

My parents were friends with Mr. Saalfield for many years (William and Barbara Wamelink), and our family is saddened to learn of his passing. Our condolences to you all.

I am so sorry to hear of Brec' s death His father' s brother, Major James Saalfield, was my first husband. With affection, Anne Lineberger Saalfield Macdonald.

It was with deep sorrow that I learned of Brec's death. My late husband, Johnny Apple, was so very fond of him throughout their lives. And I was as well, first knowing him through my sister, Pie Friendly, and much later when Johnny and I were married.

Dear Melissa - Although we've not met, I have thought of you often, having only recently learned of his illness & death from Barbara Pittman, my sister,Betsey Apple's, sister in law.

I knew Brec when he was at Penn & I at Bryn Mawr. We had wonderful years together; what splendid memories.
