Alden “Aldie” Adams of Hubbardston, MA died peacefully at home on Tuesday, January 2nd, 2024.
Born in Gardner on August 23, 1937, he was the son of George and Elizabeth (Parker) Adams. Alden was a lifelong resident of Hubbardston who loved the town and spent his life in town building and improving his family's two homes, gardening, photography, spending time with his family and following in his mother’s footsteps collecting and fostering Hubbardston history. Alden attended Worcester trade school for welding and worked for over forty years at Wain Roy Corporation in Hubbardston first as a young welder and retired as the production manager.
Alden was a loving and dedicated family man who is survived by the love of his life of 58 years of marriage, Susan (Brodeur) Adams; his Son, Samuel and his wife, Lydia Adams; his daughters, Alison and her husband Edward Williams, and Sarah and her husband William McConnell. Alden had three grandchildren, Abigail, Erin and William and one great grandchild, Elizabeth. His beloved sister Jane (Adams) McCauley also of Hubbardston and her husband Kenneth, and his brother David Norberg of Worcester.
Alden is predeceased by his father George Adams at a young age and his mother and stepfather Elizabeth (Parker Adams) and Walter Norberg, and his brother John Adams.
Calling hours for Alden will be held on Monday, January 8, 2024 from 4pm to 6pm at Mack Family Funeral Home, 105 Central Street, Gardner.
There will be a funeral service at the funeral home on Monday, January 8, 2024 at 6pm directly following the calling hours.
