Alden Paul Stratton, age 91, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2026 at The Schowalter Villa, Hesston, KS. He was born June 1, 1934 at Walton, KS., to Paul V. and Viola Weiser Stratton. They preceded him in death.
He graduated from Walton High School in 1952 and from Bethel College in 1956. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1956-1958. He was a retired English teacher having taught at Newton High School for 33 years.
He was a lifetime member of the Walton United Methodist Church, National Education Association, Sons of American Legion and former member of Newton Rotary Club.
He is survived by nieces and nephews and dear friends and caregivers, John and Shirley Esau. He is preceded in death by his sister, Geraldine E. Bircher.
There will be no service. Memorials in his honor have been established with The Walton United Methodist Church c/o Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, 12O E. Broadway, Newton, KS 67114.
