Aldo A. Carlotto Sr.
"Loving father, grandfather, great grandfather & brother"
Aldo Angelo Carlotto Sr. of Port St. Lucie, Florida, passed away on October 22, 2025. Aldo was born on June 18, 1935 to parents Mary (Silva) and Angelo Carlotto in Queens, New York.
Aldo began his life's work as a contractor in his teenage years alongside his father and brother before starting his own business, the Alman Construction Company. His success in business earned him an early retirement, but his passion for building never faded. He often volunteered his skills for organizations including, Habitat for Humanity. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge and a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton in Port St. Lucie. Of all the things he built in his lifetime, the most meaningful was his family. He was a devoted brother, and a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He will be remembered by his community for doing "one good thing" a day around his neighborhood and for always helping repair or build or cook with his family.
He is survived by his sister, Sandra Kelly (née Carlotto) and her husband, Patrick, of Block Island, RI, his daughters, Jackie Carangelo, of Hudson, NY, and Donna Calabro and her husband, Steve, of Middlebury, CT, and his son, Aldo Carlotto Jr., of Watertown, CT. He also leaves behind grandchildren, Vinny, Nichole and her husband Laszlo, Mathew and his wife Jen, Amanda, Alyssa, Morgan and her husband Carlton, and great-grandchildren, Cenzo, Teddy, Leo, Béla, Jamie, and Gioia. Additionally, he leaves behind his partner, Nancy Landry, and her daughter Nanci, both of FL. Aldo is predeceased by his brother, Gino Carlotto, and sister-in-law, Angeline Carlotto.
Arrangements: A calling hour will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, from 8:00 – 9:00 a.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial, The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Waterbury at 10:00 a.m. Burial of cremains will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Waterbury.
