Aldora Dabbs Obituary
Aiken – Mrs. Aldora “Dori” Marie Dabbs, 66, passed away Saturday, October 14, 2023.
Dori was born in Riverdale, MD, daughter of Barbara Catterton Grimmel, and the late Thornton Francis Green. Dori was an avid scrapbooker, sewer, a cake baker and an adoring grandmother. She served her country working many positions within the federal government, including at the Veteran Affairs Hospital and the Department of Forestry.
Dori is survived by her beloved husband, Donald Stephen Dabbs; daughter, Marie (and Nick) Capito, Augusta, GA; son, Thomas Dabbs, Virginia Beach, VA; granddaughter, Margot Capito; brother, Chris Green and family; sister, Carolyn Bean and family; brother, Larry Green and family.
A Celebration of Life for Dori will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, October 23, 2023, in the Shellhouse Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Bill Howard, III officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. The service will be livestreamed and can be viewed at the following link: https://iframe.dacast.com/b/156599/c/585060
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Augusta (https://bgcgreateraugusta.org/).
