Graveside services for Mrs. Aleene Easley Yates, 68, of Ore City, Texas, will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 15, 2026, at Ore City Cemetery, with Bro. Tony Pierce officiating, under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Ore City. There will be a time of visitation with family and friends from 12:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Yates, passed away on February 8, 2026. She was born on October 2, 1957, in Naples, Texas. In her younger years, Aleene worked as an aide at Ore City ISD in the special needs department, a role she truly had a passion for and took great pride in. She had a special heart for children and found joy in helping others, always offering patience, kindness, and encouragement to those she served.

She was known for her gentle spirit and sweet nature. She enjoyed spending time in the kitchen cooking and baking for family and friends, often showing her love through the meals she prepared. In her earlier years, she loved being outdoors and made many happy memories camping, fishing, and taking trips to the mountains and the lake. She appreciated the simple things in life and cherished time spent surrounded by the people she loved most.

Aleene was preceded in death by her parents, James Ralph Easley and Donna Gaynell Towler Easley; her son, Sean Yates; and her brother, Bubba Easley. She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Mr. Gary Dicks; children: Jamie Yates, Kelly Yates, and Ashley Yates; grandson, Hunter Yates; bonus grandchildren: McKenzie Clark, Christopher Clark; and Gage Wade Griffith; sister, Linda Capps; special friend, Beth Reynolds; several nieces and nephews; and her fur babies: Chance "Puppy", and Dobie.

Aleene's warmth, caring heart, and quiet strength touched the lives of many. She will be remembered for her kindness, her love of family, and the way she made others feel welcome and cared for. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
