Born June 3, 1947
Died Peacefully in her home surrounded by family on February 27, 2024.
She is preceded in death by mother Antonia Cobos, father Gilberto Cobos, brother Gilbert O. Cobos, and son Roberto "Bobby" Galarza. Alex, as she is lovingly known by her family and friends is survived by son, Javier Galarza, granddaughter Danielle M. Galarza, grandson Javier E. Galarza, brothers and sisters, Yolanda Cienfuegos, Ismael Cobos, Rosa Gose (John), Fidencio Cobos (Emily), Lupe Cobos (Kim), Leticia Cobos Gonzales, Irma Cobos (Fernando), and sister-in-law Mary Cobos, as well as, four great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and her two loyal dogs Scruffy and Rocky, whom she adored.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 7, 2024 from 9:15 am to 10:30 am with Rosary at 10:30 am at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 324 Lincoln Street, Anthony, New Mexico 88021. A funeral mass to celebrate Alex's life will follow at 11:00 am also at St. Anthony Church. Graveside Service will be at 12:15 pm at Anthony Cemetery.

Alex, my wonderful sister I miss you now and I will miss you every day of the rest of my life! I will hold many memories of you in my heart but I will always remember your passion for storytelling the most. I was captivated by your enthusiasm and attention to detail. Thank you for all the stories of our family past and present. I will pass them on to the next generation. You will live on in those stories. Until we see each other again, rest in peace.
