He was my uncle. I had never known him because I was born only after 9 months since the tragedy in May 2002. However, I would give everything to talk to him at least for a minute...

As I cross-stitched your name on the memorial that I am doing for all of the victims, I prayed for you and your family. Please know that your death was not in vain. We will always remember. God Bless.

We will remember Aleksandr, even if we were not blessed to know him in life. You are in our thoughts and prayers, and we will not forget.

It is a testimony to the spirit of this young man that, on the third anniversary, so many strangers continue to respond to him and his brief story. Thank you, Aleksandr Valeryerich Ivantsov, for that story. Rest in peace.
