Alex J. Carthon Jr.

I worked with Happy in the early 80's at Somers State Prison. He was a delight to work with. Always down to earth. He will be missed.

Alex was a member of the Connecticut Dept. Of Correction family, retiring as a Correctional Lt at Somers State Prison (now called Osborn-C.I.) A true consummate professional, mentor to many young rookies, and great friend. His death came as a shocker to me and to many others, and I, along with them, send condolences to our brother Rich and the entire Carthon family. Everyone who knew Alex called him "Happy" because of uplifting way of being and his infectious smile/laugh. So, rest easy "Hap".
