Alex W. Sinclair, age 70, a longtime resident of North Attleboro, passed away on Tuesday, April 15th, 2025, at his home, surrounded by the love, comfort, and care of his devoted family. He was the loving and devoted husband to Gwendolyn (Brown) Sinclair of North Attleboro, who he was married to for 49 wonderful years.
Born April 29th, 1954, in Macon, Georgia, Alex was one of seven children born to the late Abram S. Sinclair, Sr. And Christine G. (Robinson) Sinclair. He was raised in Macon, Georgia.
A proud alumnus of Fitzgerald High School, Class of 1970, Alex furthered his education at Fort Valley State University, where he graduated in 1975 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.
His dedication to his field led him to a successful career that spanned several prominent companies. Alex began his professional journey with Coopers & Lybrand in Ft. Lauderdale, proceeded to Dresser Industries in Houston, TX, and Masoneilan in Houston, TX, before eventually settling at GE in Massachusetts.
Beyond his professional life, Alex had a passion for golf and was an avid reader, pursuits that brought him great pleasure and relaxation. Above all, as a father and grandfather, Alex found immense joy in the company of his sons and grandchildren, who were the light of his life and whom he cherished deeply.
In addition to his treasured wife, Alex is survived by his two proud sons: Paul A. Sinclair and his wife Ami of Cumberland, RI, and Elliott W. Sinclair and his wife Kristin of Acworth, GA; his two grandchildren Wesley and Ari Sinclair, both of Cumberland; and his siblings: Yvonne Scott, Abram Sinclair, Jr., Cyrus Sinclair, Herbert Sinclair, Clarence Sinclair, and Richard Sinclair.
Services for Alex will be held at a later date in GA.
Arrangements under the care and direction of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, North Attleboro, MA. 508-695-0200.

I was truly sorry to hear of Alex´s passing. I worked with him for many years and he was always there to mentor me when I needed assistance. We shared many stories about our families, kids and then grandkids whom he could not stop smiling about. He truly was a great person all around and will be missed. May he rest in peace.

My sincerest condolences,

Sue Trask

Gwen,
I remember Alex as someone who kept the same demeanor regardless of the situation. I know that God will give you and the family the strength to endure such a loss. I know that his memory will bring you comfort at this time. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27
With deepest sympathy, Oliver Winkfield
