ALEXANDER HAMILTON GRENNOR, 47, beloved husband of Jody Cyphers Grennor, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2025 in Aiken Regional Medical Centers following a sudden illness.
Born in Haddon Heights, NJ, Alex was raised in a nurturing community and achieved the esteemed rank of Eagle Scout through the Boy Scouts of America. He pursued higher education at Rowan University, earning a BA degree. In 2012, he relocated to Aiken, where he excelled in various roles, including working in real estate with Woodside Realty. Alex was actively engaged in his community, serving as a former member of the City of Aiken’s Environmental Committee and as a dedicated substitute teacher for the Aiken County School District. He also volunteered as a support parent for Family Connection of South Carolina.
Alex had a passion for trains, an affinity for history, and found great joy in exploring state parks. His enthusiasm for life and dedication to his family and community were evident in everything he did.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Jody; his son, Zachary Taylor Grennor; his parents, Linda Sweeten and Mike Luka Savage; as well as two uncles, Don Sweeten and Jack Hutchison, and an aunt, Darlene Angelozzi, all of Aiken.
Details regarding his service will be announced at a later time.
