Alexander F. Badour

Alexander F. Badour, age 66, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 26, 2024 at his home in Hillman. The son of the late James J. and Patsy J. (Collins) Badour, he was born on April 7, 1957 in Bay City. Alex graduated from Garber High School in 1975 and shortly thereafter moved to the Houston, Texas area where he lived for the next 40 years. For many years he operated pawn shop stores and then went into hospitality management, where he managed hotels around Houston for several years, and had continued to work remotely as a hotel bookkeeper up until his death. A few years ago, Alex moved to Hillman in northern Michigan. He took in the quiet lifestyle up north and enjoyed getting together with family, especially his nieces and nephews, in the area and back in Essexville.
Alex is survived by his three brothers and one sister, Donald (Marla) of Manton, Jonathan (Sandra) of Hillman, James P. (Sherry) of Essexville and JoAnne Badour of Bay City; his stepmother, Margaret Badour; his nieces and nephews, Kyle (Stephanie), Brandon, Ryan, Justin and Evan Badour and Alyssa, Heather and Trisha Blossey; several great nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Penelope. In addition to his father and mother, Alex was also preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Colleen Hugo-Badour.
A Memorial Service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 2, 2024 at Trahan Funeral Chapel with Mr. EJ Brown officiating.
