A touching legacy for a great talent who has done so much and cared so deeply for others through fine works “I pray that he may grant you through the abundance of his glory to be made mighty in the man you are inside, with power through his spirit… (Ephesians 3:16) May the family have peace we cherish the special memories.

Your influence was pervasive and inspiration infectious. Thank you for showing so many of us how to live life fully.

Alex thanks for your honest and sincere words. You have a legacy that will live own.

Only today, Jul 27, have I learned of Cockburn's death. He was a courageous and honest journalist. It is to the shame of our country that he stood out in his generation as the leading--and sometimes only!--Marxist journalist in the U.S.

Alexander was a man of amazing intellect with a love of people and a gift of gab surpassed by none. Always cheerful, he managed to be disgusted with politics while maintaining his fascination and he interpreted his view of the world eloquently. He will be missed. My thoughts go to his family and the community he leaves behind.

To the family, my deepest sympathy to your family. Mr.Cockburn was a very remarkable individual who was loved by all who came in contact with him. I have had the priveledge on many occasions see him before and after his treatments. I feel blessed to have known such a wonderful individual!

My condolences to the family, i am proud to have known Alex. He was a great friend, loved going to dinner with him and talk about his love for old Chryslers. He will be greatly missed.

What a loss! Even when I didn't agree with all that he wrote, I was bowled over by his intellectual virtuosity, as well as his conviction. My thoughts are with his family and friends.
