Alex was a kind and loving soul, who never met a stranger, and embraced all the people he met as dear friends. His heart overflowed with kindness and love. The imprint he left on people will be embedded in their hearts forever. His infectious laughter made a room light up with that million-dollar smile.
Alex was survived by his parents: Julie and Chad Griffin, Brother: Chase Griffin & fiancé, Hannah; Nephew: Ozzy the love of his life. Brother: Clayton Creamer. Grandma: Carolyn Allen, who he adored with all his heart and was his second mom. Aunts: Connie (Louie), Kathy, Becky (Greg), Angie. Cousins: Jackie (Thyag), Wes (Jen), Clint (Andrea), Zac (Ellie), Emily, Chance (Amber), Kyler (Julie), Keely, Gage (Hannah), Blake. Aunt Pam, Uncle Doug (Debbie), Rick (Glenda). Cousins: Adam, Samantha, Liam. Heather (Dennis) Chad (Kim) Dawn,Jennifer,Kelly, and Laura (Parish) Aunt Val (Chief) and Uncle Tony M. All friends were thought of by Alex as his brothers and sisters. To list all of you would be impossible.
He had the ability to make anyone laugh and could raise their spirit even at the lowest point. It made him feel good to bring light to others' lives. To help others was a gift that he shared freely through counseling people through some of the darkest times of their lives.
His love and hate for the Chicago Bears was legendary but he never gave up on them. Some of his favorite sports teams were the St. Louis Cardinals, St. Louis Blues, and MMA Fighting. The first Bears game of the year was always a special event for the family and he made it a point to be home with Mom, Dad, and Chase to cheer them on. This day will never be the same without his presence.
There were so many subjects and topics that Alex was knowledgeable about: history, philosophy, and politics. Debating was one of Alex's fortes and he could sway anyone's opinion in a matter of sentences.
When you got one of Alex's teddy bear hugs, you knew you were loved and it was sincere.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to the family in show of support.
