Alexander Higgins

Sandy and I are not related, although we worked together at WOAY after I returned from Vietnam. We were both Episcopalians attending St. Andrew's in Oak Hill. I thought of him only tonight and was saddened to learn of his death. He was a good and faithful servant - may he rest in peace. Kent+

I am just finding out, at this late date, about Sandy's death and am greatly saddened. Sandy was the youth group director at my father's church in West Virginia in the mid-60's, while he was working at WOAY,getting his English degree and living in Mt. Hope. He remained a dear friend through my college years. I'm so sorry for your loss. +

As a kid fresh out of college, I had the pleasure of working with Sandy at WOAY-TV in late 1969. He was a good friend and mentor. I am fortunate to have known him.

Henry - Sandy often spoke of you. His SPS days were important to him. Thak you for the hug and words.

Dear Valerie, when last I connected with Sandy he was a radio broadcaster. We were close friends during our years at boarding school. I'm thrilled to read of his intelligent, courageous and loving life. I'm sure you were part of all that and more as long as you were together. If you will allow it, here is a hug from a stranger in the spirit of Sandy!

Mr. Higgins was a giant of a man and a great journalist. I wish he did not leave so early and my sincere sympathies to his family and friends at this time of loss.
