Alexander John Kearn, 74, of Stroud Township, died Monday morning, October 23, 2023, while under hospice care at home. He was the husband of Linda (Louzon) Kearn with whom he shared fifty years of marriage on September 15th.
Born on March 30, 1949 in East Stroudsburg, he was the son of the late Alexander G. and Rita (August) Kearn and lived in Monroe County for most of his life.
He served as a Sergeant in the United States Army from 1969 to 1971.
Alex first worked for the Monroe County Sheriff's Department and then as an electrician for Price Brothers Electric in Cresco. Later he was a millwright at Palo Verde Nuclear Power Plant and last a manager at Friedman Electric in Brodheadsville from where he retired.
He was a Friend of Bill W. and his hobbies included skiing, Yankees games, 7th and 8th grade football coaching, and mostly being a grandfather.
In addition to his wife, surviving are a daughter, Deena Boback of Stroudsburg; three grandchildren, Tyler Boback of Waitsfield, VT, Hannah Boback of Washington, DC and Brady Boback of Stroudsburg, PA; a sister, Patricia Connelly and husband John of Toms River, NJ; a nephew, John Alexander Connelly and husband Nick; and a niece, Elizabeth Connelly.
Services will be held on Saturday, November 4th, at the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg with visitation beginning at 10:00AM followed by a memorial service at 11:30AM.
The family requests that memorial remembrances be made to Tunnels to Towers.
