Alexander Jacob Lara, age 17, passed away on April 13, 2025, in Hamby, Texas. Born on February 19, 2008, in Sweetwater, Texas, Alex brought light and joy into the lives of all who knew him. From a young age, Alex affectionately known as "Bubba" had a presence that could brighten any room. His smile was infectious, his laughter uplifting, and his hugs unforgettable. He had an extraordinary gift for making others feel seen, safe, and loved. Whether it was a friend in need of comfort or a family member needing support, Alex was always there with open arms and a warm heart. Alex cherished time with his family and held them close to his heart. He is lovingly remembered by his mother, Evonne Lara; his father, Daniel Stearns; his sister, Lexsi Lara; his brother, Christian Lara; his niece, Camila Cerda; his nephew, Koda Cerda; and his grandmother, Diana Lara. His memory also lives on in the hearts of many extended family members and friends whose lives he touched deeply. He now joins in rest his great-grandmother Aurora Sanchez-Lara and his uncle Pedro Velasquez. A young man of many passions, Alex found joy in the simple pleasures of life, he loved playing video games on his PC and spending quality time with those he cared about most- his family, friends, and girlfriend, Willoe. In quieter moments, he enjoyed immersing himself in anime movies and shows that sparked his imagination and gave him peace. Though only 17 years old at the time of his passing, Alex lived with a depth of love and compassion that left an indelible mark on everyone around him. He had an innate ability to lift spirits with just a few words or a heartfelt embrace. His kindness was boundless; he always tried to take care of those around him with unwavering dedication. Alex deserved a long and happy life- a life filled with laughter, love, and dreams fulfilled. Though he left this world far too soon, the warmth he shared remains forever etched in the hearts of those who knew him. May his memory bring comfort and strength to all who mourn him.
Funeral Services for Alexander will be held on Saturday April 19,2025 at 1:00PM at McCoy Chapel of Memories. Officiating the funeral service will be Richard Acuna. There will be a visitation at 11:00am until service time.
