Born in Scranton, Alexander was the son of the late Alexander J. Macinsky, Sr. and Jean Skoritowski Macinsky. A proud graduate of Scranton Technical High School and Vo-Tech School, he built a lifelong career marked by dedication and skill. For 32 years, he was employed by Cinram Manufacturing in Olyphant, PA, before beginning a new chapter in 2013 with the Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth, Virginia.
