I will miss my cousin Alex. We were the youngest of the cousins. I am so happy that he had a village of superb friends who loved him, and were so supportive to him over the last difficult years. Alex was a unique and bright soul, and I am better for having him in my life.

I'm very sorry to hear this. Alex was a good guy.

I am remembering fondly a trip to Italy that Alex, I and Bob did (was there a fourth person?). For some reason what particularly sticks in my memory is changing currency at a bank (long before ATMs) and the bank official calling us each by name in Italian...

Peace.

I remember Alex had (in the '70s, on the Upper West Side) bicycles that cost more than any car I had ever owned. But he also had a daily driver which was a deliberately ratty 3 speed cleverly equipped with toothbrushes hanging from the handlebars just to make it look more ratty (to be less likely to be an attractive target to thieves.)

Alex, I didn't know that when we met in second grade that over our lives, you would wind up boosting me to become a better photographer, ham radio operator, cyclist, mechanic, driver...and a better person.

I will miss emailing you random tech/absurd jokes for no good reason:

"Basically I believe in peace and bashing two bricks together!"

Alex, having lunch, walking on the beach, or playing MahJong, you will be missed by so many! I´ve been so lucky to have known you. I´ll miss you, Alex

RIP old friend. We know you are biking fast and long now, pain free and smiling. Until we meet again, adieu.

Alex was a dear friend for over fifty years. He was one of the kindest, most caring, smartest, and most decent persons anyone has ever met. He fought a long battle with great courage against his cancer for over six years. He enjoyed cycling and photography. He loved his family and friends. He will always be missed and loved.
