Alexander J. Mitchell

Alexander J. Mitchell, 34, of West Palm Beach, Florida, formerly of Wilmington, Delaware passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 20, 2021.
Alex was born in Wilmington on September 21, 1987, was a graduate of Thomas McKean High School and attended both Delaware Technical & Community College and Goldey-Beacom College. He was employed in various positions, most recently with Sprouts Market in Florida. Alex truly enjoyed his time in Florida, especially the warm weather. An avid sports enthusiast, he went from the baseball field to the soccer field to the basketball court without missing a beat. He was also a dedicated Philadelphia sports fan, always cheering on the Eagles, Phillies and Sixers. Alex was a good person with a big heart. He cherished his many friendships both old and new.
Alex will be dearly missed by his mother, Debbie Fontello Mitchell (Don); his father, James H. Mitchell (Liz); his brother, Andrew Mitchell. He is also survived by his aunts and uncles, Mary Ann Jarman (Charlie), Carol Garza (Frank) and Susan Moqtaderi (Reza); several cousins, many friends, and Noah Creger, whom he regarded as his son.
Alex was predeceased by his grandfather, John Fontello (Mary Lu); his grandparents, James G. and Janet Mitchell; his aunts, Catherine Treml and Kim Kogon.
Funeral services will be held privately at All Saints Cemetery. A Celebration of Alex's Life will be held in the Spring of 2022. Details will be forthcoming.
