Alexander Guiliano Vargas

On Monday, March 11, 2024, Mr. Alexander Guiliano “Alex” Vargas passed away at East Jefferson Hospital.

He was the loving husband of Belinda Dolores Fuentes for nearly 18 years. Alex was born in Lima, Peru, on March 15, 1970 to Teresa Garate and Julio Vargas; he was their first child. He graduated high school in 1986. After high school, Alex went through military grade training. He also worked at different factories. In 1996, he moved to the United States, first he lived in Florida, then he moved to Louisiana where he then met the love of his life, Belinda in 2001.He was caring, loving, supportive and intelligent. He became a U.S.A. citizen in March of 2022.

Alex was preceded in death by: Stepfather, Julio Caceres, grandfather, Antonio Garate, grandmother, Senaida Montoya.

Alex was survived by: Mother, Teresa Garate,  wife, Belinda Fuentes Vargas ”Cielo”, daughter, Gabriela Fuentes(21)”Petaca”,son, Alexander Vargas Jr.(17); “Guito” Stepchildren, Yenifer Van Kanegon (29) ”Flaquis”,James Van Kanegon, and Janie Dick(26) ”pipipollo” Brother, Israel Vargas Garate. Sister, Joanna Caceres Garate”chola” Nieces, Jocelynn Caceres”ñita”and Madissen De Sousa”brasileña”

Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Saturday March 23, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation starting at 12:00 p.m.  in the Chapel of Bagnell & Son Funeral Home 75212 Hwy 437 Covington, Louisiana 70435.
