Alexandra Nunes Obituary
WESTBOROUGH - Alexandra E. Nunes, 37, of Westborough, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 12, 2021. A promising life cut way too short.
Born in Framingham, she is the daughter of Alexander S. Nunes and his wife, Karen, of Westborough and the late Jacquelyn M. Michael. She was raised and educated in Westborough and was a 2001 graduate of Westborough High School. She also attended and graduated from Simmons College with a Master's Degree in education and later obtained a Master's Degree in Computer Science from Brandeis University.
Alex began her professional life as a middle school language teacher in Natick. She subsequently changed careers by becoming a Computer Programmer specializing in Computational Linguistics.
She loved cats, enjoyed good mystery stories, studying languages and spoke Spanish, French and some Portuguese and Chinese. Alex shared happiness by dressing for the holidays and sharing her homemade guacamole dip with family and friends. She played volleyball in both high school and college, enjoyed riding motorcycles and preferred driving sporty small 4 wheel drive cars.
Alex was independent and strong-willed with a sweet disposition and a loving heart. She was a devout vegetarian who never criticized anyone who enjoyed a steak. She started most of her days with an extra-large cup of coffee with extra cream and lots of Splenda. Even though she could light up a room and enjoyed getting dressed up and going out, she preferred small gatherings and talking with friends.
Her family was the centerpiece of her life. In addition to her father and step-mother she is survived by two sons, Alexander Nunes Martinez and Anderson Michael Lavallee and one brother, Edward A. Nunes.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 A.M on Saturday, June 19, in the Pickering and Son Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
Anyone wishing to express their sympathy to the family may visit beginning at 9:00 A.M.
In celebration of Alex's inner and outer beauty, flowers may be sent to Pickering and Son Funeral Home of Westborough.

She was in the same class with Evan Ray. I remember seberal church outings with kids and parents and we had great fun together. So sorry to learn this sad news. I am carrying you in my heart. J.lo
