Newcomer Funeral Home - AkronAlexis S. Shultz (Rachael P. Diese), 26, of Akron, Ohio passed away unexpectedly and went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 21, 2026.
Alexis was born in Akron on August 5, 1999 to Scott and Amy Diese. She was the youngest of two children.
Alexis grew up and spent most of her life in Akron. She was homeschooled through the eigth grade then attended Firestone High School where she graduated in 2017. At Firestone, she was on the cross-country and tennis teams and as a bright student, was dual-enrolled at The University of Akron her junior and senior years. She also attended Stark State College persuing web design. She worked at various jobs including Amazon where she was an area manager.
Alexis was baptized on December 21, 2008 into the Christian faith and attended CrossPoint Alliance Church. Through hard work and dedication for many years, she earned her black belt in Karate in 2017. Alexis found beauty in the world through her love of photography and enjoyed music, driving and shopping. She was known for her bright personality and a quick wit that endeared her to everyone she met. She was a creative, sensitive soul who loved cats especially her Jojo.
Alexis was preceded in death by her grandparents Glen and Betty Williams and Bruce Diese, Aunt Norma Williams, Uncles Steve Einselen and Terry Davis and is survived by her loving parents, brother Derek, Grandmother Beverly Diese, aunts and uncles Kathy Einselen, Dorothy Davis, Alan Williams, Sherrie (Bruce) Karem and Steve (Laurie) Diese as well as numerous cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 3pm at CrossPoint Alliance Church, 855 Rothrock Rd, Copley, OH 44321.
