Alexis Kyndal Watson

"There's gonna be light at the end of the tunnel."
This was the mantra that Alexis lived by, and now she has reached that light. Alexis's life was filled with challenges, both emotional and physical, yet through it all, she found strength. At 18, Alexis faced overwhelming adversity: because of other people's decisions, Alexis was not at the education level needed to complete her goals, was physically frail from stress, had few financial resources, lacked a driver's license, and felt isolated from loved ones. In order for her to achieve her goals, the road would be long and difficult.
Despite the hardships and doubt, Alexis always held on. At times, her goals seemed out of reach due to circumstances beyond her control, but through faith and perseverance, Alexis found her way. At 18, she legally left an environment that had held her back and was given a second chance by some of the family members from whom she had been separated. With their support, Alexis earned her GED, got her driver's license, found a job, and rebuilt her relationship with her family.
She then moved in with other family members to pursue higher education. Within two years, Alexis completed community college debt-free and was accepted into her dream school, Texas A&M University. Her time at Texas A&M was not without its challenges. Alexis faced the reality that her educational background made college particularly difficult. But with determination and the unwavering support of friends and family, she persevered. In August 2024, Alexis defeated all odds and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. This significant accomplishment was one that she often reflected on with gratitude.
Alexis began dating her husband, Ty, on June 28, 2020, and the two quickly formed a strong, loving bond. Their relationship grew and blossomed, and on November 12, 2022, Ty proposed, marking the beginning of their next chapter together. On June 1, 2024, Alexis and Ty married, crossing off one of Alexis's long-awaited dreams.
But perhaps Alexis's greatest goal was to bring her family back together. Sadly, on December 6, 2024, Alexis passed away and went to be with her Savior. During her time in the hospital, her family gathered around her, sharing stories about her life, her many accomplishments, and the kindness and compassion she shared with all who knew her. Alexis's smile, warmth, and positivity were a light to everyone she encountered. There will never be another soul as pure and caring as Alexis Kyndal Watson.
Alexis once shared a message on Facebook that captures her spirit:
"All this to say, don't let your life be your crutch. Let it be your motivation because there really is light at the end of the tunnel. There might be many hardships, and the timing might take longer than anticipated, but the light is worth it! Also, be kind to people because YOU truly never know what someone is going through! One of my biggest mottos to live by, because love can truly help a person want to live! I know this is long, but I really hope this helps others."
Alexis is survived by her husband, her loving family, and her two dogs.
