Our hearts are so heavy to hear the loss of Bud . He was sweet , fun and a true gentlemen . His love for Eileen and his kids was so special . He always had a kind word a bit of a flirt and just so lovable ! Heaven has gained angle and the world will be a sadder place without him. Michael and I send our love and prayers to all the family and thank you for sharing him with us . We are all a lot better having had him in our lives . Rest in peace Bud ,

To all the Abbott family, I was so very saddened to hear of your dad's passing. He was an awesome role model to all of us on Regent Court/Dorset Lane! One story I'd like to share, which I am sure the Abbott boys remember, was a day when we were playing in the river behind your house (making a dam, I think) and a very upset neighbor from the other side of the river told us that we were trespassing on his property. Well, Mr. Abbott, who had heard the commotion, came over and in a very respectful manner told the older gentleman that the property was his across to the other side of the river. The man disagreed saying the property was his across to the other side of the river. They both said they had proof of this (the blueprint of the property lines, etc.). The next thing you know, I remember the two of them sharing a beer on the Abbott picnic table both laughing quite loudly. Guess what? Both blueprints had each of them owning the property across to the other side of the river. As little kids, we witnessed a wonderful role model showing us how to be respectful and diplomatic when handling an argument. Btw, the older gentleman would tell us we could play on the other side of the river any time we wanted. Mr. Abbott was a gentleman in every sense of the word. My sincerest condolences to all the Abbott family. Peace & love, Stephen Weiss

We will miss our annual Christmas card from Bud. Always addressed to "The beautiful Cindy and Ashley ladies"... "wishing you both a wonderful Christmas"... His beautiful handwriting at such an older age was so impeccable.
We wish you a wonderful Christmas, Dear Bud, wherever you may be. We will always keep you in our hearts.
Godspeed.
