Alfred was born on September 17, 1935, in Petite-Rivière-de-Nippes, Haiti, to Ferdinand and Elisena Casimir. He was the eldest of two children.
He met and fell in love with his neighbor, Jacqueline Remy, and the two were married. Together, they had a son, Edy Casimir. The couple later divorced in 1972. Alfred left Nippes and moved to Port-au-Prince, where he worked for Ford Motors. During the Vietnam War, he obtained a visa to work in the United States, where he continued his trade as a mechanic.
In 1968, Alfred immigrated to the United States, initially moving to Brooklyn, New York, before finally settling in South Ozone Park. He remarried in 1972 to Marie Bertha Geravis, and they remained committed to their family. He was reunited with his son Edy in 1976. Alfred and Marie welcomed their second son, Ronald Casimir, in March of 1978.
Alfred worked as a mechanic at Star Corrugated for 30 years and also ran a used car dealership. He retired at the age of 65 and spent the remainder of his life in South Ozone Park, where he lived until his passing. Alfred enjoyed dinners, celebrations, cars, finances, prayer, and staying connected with loved ones through frequent phone calls. He was a man of deep faith, attending church every Sunday.
Alfred is survived by his wife, Marie Casimir; his son, Edy Casimir; his daughter-in-law, Lya Casimir; and their children: Keisha Casimir-Midy, Ayannah Casimir-Djeteli, Esq., and William Casimir.
