Alfred G. Felix, age 90, of Mentor, passed away Thursday, March 2, 2023 at his home. He was born March 18, 1932 in Brisbin, PA to Nancy (Swistock) and Paul Michael Felix. He married Jo Strayer on June 16, 1956 in South Fork PA.
Alfred was a proud veteran of the US Army serving in the Korean War. He worked for General Electric in their quartz division.
He was a fine artist and craftsman. He restored and showed classic cars, was an expert carver building flint-lock and Kentucky rifles and canoes. He was also an avid outdoorsman and nature lover, enjoying hunting, fishing, and trapping. He was also a superb storyteller as well as a poet. Alfred was generous and kind to all who knew him and never turned down a friendship.
He is survived by his wife, Jo; children, Holly (Dennis) Romasco, Kerry Felix, Heidi (William) Schultz; grandchildren, Tyler, Summer and Layne Romasco, Jeremiah Schultz; sister Delores Millard; and many beloved nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Andrew J. Felix and Paul Felix Jr; sisters, Helen Falls and Margie Koleno.
Friends will be received 10-11 am Monday, March 6, 2023 At Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street in Madison with a service immediately following at 11 am. Final resting place will be at Perry Cemetery. Online obituary and condolences may be viewed at www.behmfuneral.com
