I'm so sorry to hear of Al´s passing. Every time our paths crossed, he had a smile on his face-and somehow, he always managed to bring one to mine as well. He was a truly gifted musician, and I remember him telling me that his favorite banjo tune was Don Reno´s Banjo Signal, which I once played for him. Now, every time I play it, I think of his smile.
Rest in peace, Al!
