Alfred J. Langdon IV, 39 passed away at his childhood home on Tuesday, December 14th, 2010 after a long battle with brain cancer. John was born in Racine, on September 27, 1971 to Alfred J. Langdon III, and the late Linda J. (nee: Legler) Langdon. John Graduated from Park High School in 1990. John was an avid stamp collector and also enjoyed building and collecting model cars. John enjoyed spending time with and cooking for friends and family, especially his niece Emma. He liked spoil her with gummy bears or as they would call them goo-me bears which was beneficial for him because he would help Emma polish off the bag. John had a kind heart and could always be counted on to lend a helping hand. Anyone who met John can say that he touched their life in one way or another. Many friends and family members benefitted from his kindness, he will be greatly missed. John is survived by his father Alfred J. Langdon III "Butch", of Racine, his brothers Jeffrey (Ashley) Langdon of Racine, and James (Jaime) Langdon of Racine, also surviving one niece, Emma Langdon of Racine. Many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and friends also survive. John was preceded in death by his mother, Linda J. Langdon, his grandmother Emma Legler, his grandfather Alfred J. Langdon Jr., and his grandfather Albert Legler The family would like to extend a special thank you to Robin and Amber as well as all of the caring compassionate staff from Vitas Hospice Care; also Thank you to Terry Landry for helping to care for John during this difficult time. Funeral services will be held at Wilson's Funeral Home 1212 Lathrop Avenue, Racine WI 53405 on Friday, December 17th visitation with the family will begin at 11:00 am, followed by a 1:00 pm service. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park 9000 Washington Ave Racine, WI 53406. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to the family to assist with expenses.
