Alfred Todino Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home on Jul. 21, 2022.
Clinton-Alfred J. "Putsy" Todino, 85, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester. He is preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth A. (Coppenrath) Todino. He is survived by his children, Pamela Todino of Potsdam, NY; Karen Todino-Medina of Clinton; Betty Ann Gibbons; and Alfred F. "Putsy" Todino & wife Andrea, all of Leominster. He leaves his son-in-law Gary Baird of Lancaster; his brother, Carlo Gizzonio & Donna Beirholm of Ferrisburgh, VT; 8 grandchildren, Corey and Craig Baird, Rico, Nino, and Lisie Gonzalez, Stefani Bailey, Alexx Crespo, and Brayden Todino; 9 great-grandchildren, and many dear friends, notably Paul Gadoua. He is pre-deceased by his daughter Sandra Baird, granddaughters Mandi Todino and Eryn Todino, son-in-law Rey Medina, his mother Chistine (Todino) D'Angelico, and siblings Christine D'Angelico, Emma "Butchie" Summa, Michael D'Angelico and John Todino.
Alfred was born in Boston, raised and educated in Clinton, as the son of Mr. & Mrs. Joseph Leoni. He enlisted and proudly served our nation in the US Air Force during the Korean War and was honorably discharged as an Airman Third Class. He returned home safely to begin his lifelong career as a cook, working for local restaurants including Turini's Diner, Angie's Pub, Sterling Ice Cream Bar, and Seafood & More. For the past twenty years he has enjoyed every day among friends while working at Mr. G's Gulf in Clinton. Among his pleasures, Putsy was an avid sports fan who cheered faithfully for the Patriots, Red Sox, Celtics and Bruins. He enjoyed a friendly wager at the horse track, weekly Pitch and Cribbage leagues, his daily newspaper and crossword puzzles, and keeping up with current events. Above all he was a proud patriarch, loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, father-in-law, brother, uncle, and friend. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, July 17, 2022 from 3 until 5PM in the Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home, 176 Water St., Clinton. A graveside service will be celebrated at 11AM on Monday, July 18, 2022 at St. John's Cemetery, Lancaster. Online condolences may be placed at www.philbincomeaufh.com
