AUSTRIA, Alfredo Tabia.
January 21, 1944 - March 6, 2025. Age 81.
Beloved husband of Minnie (nee Ragodon) for 43 wonderful years. Proud and adored father of Eric and Sheryl. Loving brother of Elsa Isip, Augusto Austria, Emma Ebarvia, Lourdes Sia, Bernardita Estrada, Isaac Austria Jr., the late Angelita Baduel and the late Magdalena Austria. Predeceased by his parents Isaac and Amparo. Survived by many loving nieces, nephews and in-laws who will forever hold his love and memory close.
Alfredo passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family. A simple and quiet man with a kind heart, he found the greatest joy in the company of his loved ones. Whether sharing a meal, telling stories, or just spending quiet moments together, he cherished the people in his life above all else. Though he lived simply, the love he gave was immeasurable, and his presence will be deeply missed.
He was a devoted and doting father who took immense pride in his children's accomplishments-whether in academics, careers, or hobbies. No achievement was too small for him to celebrate, and he always made sure his children knew how proud he was of their hard work and dedication. His unwavering support and encouragement will forever be a source of strength and inspiration.
Another of his greatest joys was working in the garden with his wife, tending to the plants and picking fresh vegetables. Their time together in the garden was not just about growing food but about sharing love, patience, and simple happiness in life's little moments. In the evenings, he and his wife enjoyed watching Filipino shows together, a cherished routine that brought them closer and kept them connected to their roots.
He was also a devoted Detroit Pistons fan. Whether celebrating a big win or staying loyal through tough seasons, his passion for basketball was something he loved sharing with family and friends. He also enjoyed going out to eat with his family whether it be for a celebration or a simple meal out on Sunday after church.
