It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of 17-year-old Alfredo "Fredo" Sanchez of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Alfredo passed away on June 28, 2024, following a tragic accident. The Sanchez family are shocked and saddened by this sudden loss but find comfort in the knowledge that Alfredo is now in the loving, peaceful presence of our Lord and Savior in Heaven.
He leaves his parents, Ana Lilian and Hipoleto Sanchez, to cherish his memory, along with his brother, Angel Sanchez, sisters Wendy and Estrella Sanchez, his best friend, Christopher Martinez, as well as Rolando Pando, and Benjamin Martinez, both of whom were like older brothers to him. Also, his son baby Javi, who he loved very much, and the love of his life, Liliana Moreno; two uncles, Francisco Sanchez, and Ismael Sanchez; and his aunt, Sandra Hernandez.
Fredo was a student at Santa Fe South High School and was adored by everyone. Though he was only 17, he had already managed to positively impact thousands of lives. His bright personality, keen sense of humor, and his all-too infectious laughter endeared him to everyone he ever met. Fredo loved his job at Carillo Tires & Wheels and with his talent and passion for automobiles, was aspiring to be a mechanic. Those who knew Fredo well knew just how much he loved his truck, "Little Red". He, along with his "baby" Little Red, was a member of the Oklahoma City chapter of the Diablos Truck Club, and Fredo was beloved by the other members.
Next to Little Red, Fredo spent most of his time with his constant companion, his dog, Cookie. When he wasn't at work, school, or with the club, he enjoyed riding his bike, hanging out with his friends, and everyone who knew Fredo knows just how much he loved to eat! Yet, nothing made him happier than spending time with his family and being with the people he loved.
As we reflect on a life lost far too soon, let us remember Fredo for his warm, passionate nature, his commitment to the things that brought him joy, and for all the wonderful things he was able to accomplish during his 17 years on this earth. Alfredo will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. May he find eternal comfort and peace in Heaven.
