Dear Nancy,
We are so sorry to hear about Aunt Alice's passing. Her soft spoken words and twinkling eyes always captivated me. Donn, John, and I and our families have always enjoyed our time with her. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers.
Love,
Martha

My dad, Dabney, loved his West cousins and especially Peggy, Emma Lyle and Alice.... they were the youngest of the 41 first cousins... I like to think of Aunt Lylie greeting Dad, Emma Lyle and now Alice as they moved on to Glory...

I knew Alice through her daughter Nancy and things like the lovely white curtains that hang in the house on Cambridge Rd, a picture of three generations - Alice, Nancy, and Alice Lyle - and stories about Alice as a consummate hostess. Anyone who has met Alice's family can attest that a person's real legacy is in the love they leave behind, and the character of the people they have loved. God bless Alice for her lasting legacy.

Nancy thanks so much for calling last night. We are so sorry to hear about the passing of Alice. It's the end of an era. She did so much to encourage me when I was younger and she of course was Mom's idol all of her life. We will look forward to seeing you all and know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers. Love you
