Alice Sophie Cavanagh

Alice Sophie Cavanagh, 81, of Binghamton, NY, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on August 16 after a brief illness.
Alice was born in Huntington, NY to Raymond Liddle and Anna Ingellis. She attended Northport High School, Skinner's Secretarial School and Broome Community College. She worked at various companies as an administrative assistant and most recently at Universal Instruments before retiring in 2002. Alice enjoyed working in her flower garden, reading, spending time with family and friends. She volunteered at the Danielle House for many years. Alice was an active parishioner at St. Francis of Assisi.
Alice was predeceased by her husband, Vincent and her brother, Chester Liddle. She is survived by her four children, Erin (Thomas Nowetner) Cavanagh of Binghamton, NY; Vincent Cavanagh of Boise, ID; Kerry (Scott) Parsons of Merrimack, NH; James (Mary) Cavanagh of Huntington, NY; 14 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and godchildren. Alice was beloved by many. She was devoted to a life of service to her God, her husband, family, and friends.
A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Chenango Street, Hillcrest, Friday at 12 noon. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Friday from 11 a.m. until 12 noon.
