Alice Lorraine Coptis, 67, of Carmichaels, formerly of Graysville and Pittsburgh, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 6, 2026. She was born on March 20, 1958, in Pittsburgh, the daughter of the late Robert "Bud" and June (Dennison) King.
Alice graduated from Hilltop Catholic High School in 1976. Later that year, she wed her sweetheart, Mark Randle Coptis on September 4th. She was a faithful member of the St. Matthias Parish. She worked as a cook at the Creekside Kitchen in Graysville for some time. Her best work, however, was done within the walls of her home, taking great pride in her role as a stay-at-home mom.
Alice was known for her creativity and passion for crafting, running her own small craft business. She was an avid quilter and a textile artist in the Three Rivers Quilters Guild. Alice was a talented seamstress, having made clothing for both her children and grandchildren. Her artistic abilities were also displayed in paintings of lighthouses and portraits of her family. Over the years, Alice made her mark in various ways, including being a Girl Scout leader for many years. Of all the things that Alice found herself doing, spending quality time with her family and friends was the most special.
She will be lovingly remembered by her beloved husband; daughters, Andrea Coptis of Tucson, Ariz., Rebecca Coptis-Dewey (Daniel) of Pittsburgh, and Veronica Fike (Donald) of Carmichaels; son, SFC Zach Coptis (Hristina) of Fayetteville, N.C.; grandchildren, Noah, Rory, Regan, Owen, Aden, Ian, Christopher, and Sophia; great granddaughter, Willow; siblings, Phillip King, Roberta Molinaro (Bobby), and Ed King, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Elizabeth "Betty" King, John King, Dorothy King, and Mark King.
Family and friends are welcome from 5:00 to 9:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at Yoskovich Funeral Home, Inc., Carmichaels. An additional visitation will take place from 9:00 to 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, February 12, 2026, with Prayers of Transfer held at 10:30 A.M. in the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 A.M. at the St. Matthias Parish at St. Hugh, 408 Route 88, Carmichaels, with Rev. Thomas Lewandowski as celebrant.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made in Alice's memory to The Helping House, 229 Woodrings Road, Jefferson, PA 15344.
