Alice Norman Davis, age 90, of Austin, Arkansas, was born December 30, 1934, in Kensett, Arkansas to the late Earnest Willie and Nellie Beakley Norman. Alice went to her heavenly home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 15, 2025. She was a member of Austin Station Baptist Church where she was active in Women On Missions, music programs, and Vacation Bible School. She was a member of Grannies on the Go in association with Nailbenders for Jesus. She retired from Cabot Public Schools Administration in 2006 after serving over 30 years.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, brother Richard Norman; two sisters Wanda Griffin and Dorothy Griffin; and granddaughter, Ashley. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, James Davis; three daughters, Shari Bickell (Mike), Mary Ann Davis (Scott Stracener) and Brenda Harris; one brother, E.W. Norman, Jr.; five grandchildren, Elizabeth (Jared), Sarah (Joey), James, Chelsea (Brian) and Erica (Stephen); six great-grandchildren, Brayden, Dixie, Savannah, Jonah, Cicely Jean and Beckett; a bonus daughter, Debbie Ryan; along with a host of nieces and nephews.
The love of Jesus always shined brightly through her life. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who always went above and beyond for her family and friends. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed spending time with her family playing games. She enjoyed watching sports, she even coached in her younger days, but she loved calling “The Hogs”. Alice always made friends wherever she went, and she never met a stranger. She kept the faith and is now rejoicing with Jesus. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the staff at Spring Creek Health and Rehab for their years of loving care.
