Alice Elizabeth Riddle Ballard Evans, 88, of Marion, passed away peacefully on the day after Thanksgiving, November 28, 2025 at Amorem Hospice in Valdese.
She was born August 18, 1937 in Mitchell County to the late Ernest and Grace McKinney Riddle. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Arnold Ray Ballard; her second husband, Robert “Bobby” Evans; one daughter, Libby Ledford; and one granddaughter, Sherry Andrews.
Alice enjoyed working puzzles and drawing. She loved singing country and gospel music and formerly sang with various groups. Alice retired from working in housekeeping, most notably at Autumn Care of Marion. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her husband, Kevin Brian Loftis; three daughters, Regina Hollifield (Archie), Martha Foster (Danny), and Vicky McKinney; seven grandchildren, Lisa, Beth, Kelly, Ray, Crystal, Teresa, and Nisha; eighteen great-grandchildren; and one sister, Dorothy Brown.
In accordance with her wishes, no services are planned.
