Alice Forbeck Obituary
Alice Ann Forbeck (nee Schaeffer), of O'Fallon, MO, passed away Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the age of 83. Beloved wife of Donald Forbeck; cherished daughter of the late James Schaeffer and the late Johanna Anna Bauer; devoted mother of Dena Dishman, David (Teri) Forbeck, and Doug (Tammy) Forbeck; loving grandmother of Brad Dishman, Scott (Brayleigh) Dishman, Jake Forbeck, Rachel Forbeck, Jeremy Forbeck, and Tori Forbeck.
Alice was a lifelong parishioner of Assumption Catholic Church, where she faithfully served as parish secretary for 23 years. A proud member of the Ladies' Auxiliary Knights of Columbus, Quilts of Valor, and Assumption High School’s Class of 1959, she was deeply rooted in her community. Alice was an avid quilter, enjoyed fishing at the lake with her husband, Don, of 63 years and loved traveling with him after retirement. A devoted homemaker, she also enjoyed bowling with her sisters and most cherished the time spent with her family, especially as a grandmother. Alice was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Memorials may be made in Alice's name to Masses and St Vincent DePaul (Assumption Parish), Assumption Chapel Fund.
