Her compassionate spirit and unwavering commitment to education made a lasting impact on everyone she encountered. She later retired from her role as a Teacher’s Aid to devote herself fully to her most treasured role, being a grandmother and lovingly caring for her grandchildren.

She is survived by her devoted siblings, Mary Wesbrooks, Gloria Torres, and Robert Herrera; as well as her loving children, Diana Villarreal, Elida Garcia, Sara Reyes, David Garcia, Gilbert Garcia, Patricia Garcia, and Jesse Garcia. She is also survived by her several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Her presence will be profoundly missed by them, as well as by the many lives she enriched over the years.
In addition to her career, Alice had a vibrant personality and a zest for life. She had a special bond with her beloved dog, Goldie, who was a constant companion and source of joy. Alice enjoyed engaging conversations with people and was an avid fan of novelas. She also found solace and inspiration in listening to sermons on television, further reflecting her deep sense of faith.
Alice’s life was characterized by her warmth and kindness, and she leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will forever be remembered. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesus L. Herrera and Angelita R. Herrera; her sons, Sammy Garcia and Gasper Garcia, affectionately known as "Wolfman"; and her brother Alejandro Herrera, known to friends and family as "Hondo." Though she has left this world, her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
