Alice Jane Adams Harris, born on March 27, 1937, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on March 22, 2025, just days short of her 88th birthday. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, servant, and friend who touched the lives of many in her local community.

Born in Crandall, TX, Alice was a true cowgirl, assisting her parents on their working farm. She cherished her community and was immensely proud of her family's heritage, which had deep roots in Kaufman County for generations. Alice's close-knit Kaufman High School class of 1955 remained in touch throughout her life, providing a strong and enduring connection.

After spending decades in the corporate world of Dallas, Alice dedicated her retirement years to serving her community. She was actively involved in the Kaufman historical society, stayed connected with her many cousins, and most importantly, served as a leader at her church. Her commitment to service and community was a testament to her character and values.

Alice's legacy continues through her sons, Ray Harris and Mike Harris, and her daughter-in-law, Danna Harris; her grandchildren, Tony Moore and his spouse Tiffany Moore, Alexandra Dodan and her spouse Sorin Dodan, John Harris, and Mitch Harris; and her great-grandchild, Isla Moore. Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Alice Adams.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, service, and love for the Kaufman County community.

Her family and friends will gather for a visitation at Anderson Clayton Funeral Home, 301 W Nash St, Terrell, TX, on April 3, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

The funeral service will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 834 Griffith Ave, Terrell, TX, on April 4, 2025, at 12:00 PM.

A graveside service will follow at Kaufman City Cemetery, 901 N Dallas St, Kaufman, TX, where she will be buried next to her parents.
