I come back to this site regularly. I still cannot believe this has happened. One day laughing and planning for the future, and before I know it you have been ripped away from me. If only I could wake from this nightmare. You were invincible to me.....

Dear Alice, I can´t believe you are gone. There are no words that can really describe how I´m feeling right now. I have so much gratitude towards you. You walked into my life in 2013 when I was really in a dark place. You knocked on my door bringing gifts. Some pool toys you thought I would enjoy and you didn´t even know me yet. That day was a pivotal moment in my life meeting you. You spoke words of wisdom that were surrounded with compassion. You helped me see things in a different light. Since that day, you and I bonded and built a wonderful friendship. You became a depends friend. We spent a lot of time together. The picture I posted here is you and I in Mexico. We went on that fun cruise together. We took it all in together and really enjoyed ourselves. I felt toward you like a mom. You always had a good word to say. Always saw the glass half full. You helped me realize that I was killing myself with alcohol. You never judged me but always encouraged me to do better. Because of you and your daughter Beth, I went into a 9 month recovery program. It was so nice to see you smile as I progressed through the program. I loved talking to you and Beth about the things I was learning. You were my cheer leader. The gift of your friendship I will always treasure. I can still talk to you whenever I want and I know you will hear me. May you be at peace now Alice. You have worked so very hard your entire life. Time for you to take a break until I see you again. I love you!! Deb

I am so very sorry to hear that Alice has passed away. What a wonderful person she was to so many. She was my mom's (Dixie Owens) best friend and Alice was with her when she took her last breath. Alice was a caring, thoughtful mentor who saw me and my family through difficult times, especially in my teen years. She always had some sage advice to share in any situation. I am sure she and my mom are reunited in a special place in heaven along with her Morgan, the love of her life. I wished I had known she was ill and I could have shared with her what all she has meant to me and my family. God speed, Alice, you were certainly one of a kind.

My Aunt Alice. I already miss her. She is always in my heart and soul. She was so giving and loving. She made the best out of nothing. I looked up to her and her work ethic´s. I went to work the next day in honor of her. Instead of staying home and grieving. We will all miss her deeply. But now she is with Morgan, nana and papa and her brother Lee. RIP Alice

Alice´ to me you were the one absolutely best Godmother without being a fairy. You danced around out thoughts until you found the key to open up the mind and heart to receive all the love you had to put gently inside...I will miss you and the incredible peace we shared all these years together, and with friends! I just love you all the time... Your forever friend. Christophari

Oh Alice, you are already intensely missed by many. Where would I be today if not for knowing you? I will always treasure our experiences and friendship, always. May you be smiling in heaven with Morgan, Lee, and the rest of your family and friends. It´s always hard to say `goodbye´, so I will say `Until we meet again my friend´. I love you Alice. Fly high `Chief´ (I´ve always had Alice in my contact list as `Chief´).

What can I say? Alice was a mother to me, a friend, a mentor, an Angel on earth. She saw the man I could be; I only hope I continue to be that man. Her laugh was infectious; that smile could melt the coldest ice. She welcomed Jim, stood up for us at our wedding, and danced the first dance with him. Love you always Alice, CYY
