Alice Valdez Martinez 81, a resident of Albuquerque NM (formerly of Velarde NM) went to be with Our Dear Lord peacefully on October 25, 2022, following a lengthy illness. Alice was welcomed into Heaven by her beloved parents Manuel and Delidia Valdez, sons Aaron Martinez and Timmy Martinez, sisters Susie Martinez, and Bertha Esquibel, and brothers Manuel Valdez and Pastor Elias Valdez.
She is survived by her children Taylor Valdez, Joey Martinez, Michelle Martinez and Grandchildren whom she helped raise Gabriel Gonzales and Amanda Martinez. Brothers Robert Valdez and wife Ernestine of La Mesilla NM, Levi Valdez and wife Angie of Velarde NM, sisters Betty Duran and husband Thomas of Colorado Springs CO, Evila Valdez Rivera and companion Pula Martinez of Albuquerque NM, 17 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, as well of numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.
She was a loving, caring, outgoing all around amazing soul and will be greatly missed by all who loved and cherished her. Her positive outlook, generous spirit, and kind heart left an impression everywhere she went. She enjoyed going to church, singing, playing the organ and piano. She loved spending time with her family and friends, cooking for others, road trips, and telling jokes. Even just sitting on the porch turned into a fun time with her. Her love for life was evident in the way she lived.
A Celebration of life will be held at New Creations in Christ Ministries at 314 N Riverside Dr, Espanola, NM on November 18, 2022, at 11:00 am. Interment will follow the services at The Apostolic of Jesus Christ Cemetery in Velarde NM. Reception shall follow at the Velarde Community Center, 6 County Rd 60a, Velarde, NM.

I was at Camino Consuelo when your mom lived there. She was always such a kind and positive lady. I'm so sorry for your loss. She will be missed.

I am Julie, I was your mama cousin. I remember you kids when you were very young. I miss your mom. We had some crazy times together, but she always their for me. I will always remember her and will always have a spot in my heart for that wonderful lady. Love you My deepest condolences.
