Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Friend

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Alice Lucille Martinez of Gardner, Colorado, who entered into rest on August 15, 2025, at her home, surrounded by family.

Born on June 7, 1938, in Yellowstone, Colorado, Alice was the cherished daughter of Jose and Adeline Martinez. She lived a remarkable 87 years, marked by love, devotion, and a generous spirit.

Alice is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Raymond Martinez; children Susan DallaGuardia of Gardner, Colorado, Lisa Decker (Nick Griego) of Gardner.

She was proud of all her grandchildren, they include Michael Valerio (Amanda) of Fountain, Colorado who her and Raymond raised and considered him to be their son. Her other grandchildren are, Paul Dallaguardia (Autumn), Desiree DallaGuardia, Larz Quintana (Erica), LaRae Young (Seth); great-grandmother to Lainey, Lincoln, Weston, Alaina, Jayden, Shaelynn, Aliyah, Gatlin, Gunner, Wylder; great-great-grandmother to two precious great-great-grandchildren. Alice is also survived by her sister, Della Vigil, and several beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Adeline Martinez, and her sisters, Pauline King and Rose Garcia.

Alice's life was filled with joy and adventure. She delighted in trips to Cripple Creek, dancing, gardening, and riding four-wheelers with Michael and motorcycles alongside her husband. She was a great cook. Alice found immense happiness in preparing meals for her family. She shared many memorable moments watching WWE Wrestling with her husband, both on television and at live events. The mountains held a special place in Alice's heart; she found peace and joy in simply taking scenic drives through them.

Above all, Alice treasured her family. Her grandchildren held a special place in her heart, and her beloved Australian Shepherd, Hank, was a cherished member of her family. Those who knew Alice will remember her for her warmth, her green thumb, her resilient spirit, and her unwavering compassion for family and friends. Her legacy of love and kindness will live on in the hearts of all she touched.
