Alice Margaret Miranowski, age 98, of Breckenridge, MN, passd away on June 7, 2025, at St. Francis Nursing Home, Breckenridge. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, June 16, 2025, with a visitation one hour prior to the service, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Breckenridge. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m., Sunday, June 15, 2025, with visitation beginning at 5 p.m., also at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Interment will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Breckenridge. Father Leo Moenkedick will be officiating the services. Arrangements have been entrusted to Joseph Vertin and Sons Funeral Home, Breckenridge.
Alice was born on February 11, 1927, in Mooreton, ND, to Thomas and Anna (Poss) Althoff. She attended rural school in the Mooreton area. She married Raymond Miranowski on October 25, 1949, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Mooreton, ND. They made their home on the family farm near Kent, MN, where side by side they raised their 13 children and farmed the land. Alice lived on the family farm until she was 97, when she moved into St. Francis Nursing Home. Alice was a great cook and a fantastic bread maker. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and canning. She loved putting together puzzles. The last few years, her dog, Buck, was her best friend and faithful companion.
Alice is survived by her children, Tom Miranowski, Breckenridge, MN, Tony (Jeanne) Miranowski, Breckenridge, MN, Joan Jandt, Pelican Rapids, MN, Dale Miranowski, Breckenridge, MN, Dan Miranowski, Bloomington, MN, Allan Miranowski, Kent, MN, Bob (Mary) Miranowski, Breckenridge, MN, Jerry (Lori) Miranowski, Fargo, ND, Connie (Rich) Hunt, Cando, ND, Paul (Tana) Miranowski, Breckenridge, MN, Tim (Dawn) Miranowski, Kent, MN, Don Miranowski, San Jose, CA; 23 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Jane Althoff.
Preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Anna; husband, Ray; son, Elmer; granddaughter, Jill Marie; and seven sisters and brothers.
