Alice I. Payant

Alice I. Payant, 91, of Northfield, NH died peacefully on March 21, 2024, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Manchester on August 22, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Alyre and Anna (Tanguay) Bilodeau. She was educated in Manchester, though left school early to care for her siblings after her mother's untimely death. Alice worked for many years as a Heel Worker with Arcadian Shoe Manufacturing and was a resident of Manchester, Auburn, Cincinnati, OH and currently of Northfield.

Alice was an avid animal lover. She was a breeder of Toy Poodles, Weimaraners, and Great Danes. She loved spending time with her family and above all else, will be remembered as a devoted, loving and caring, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

Alice was predeceased by her husband Albert R. Payant in 1995 and daughter, Anna Weldon, in 2022, also, four brothers, Henry, Edouard, Maurice and Laurent Bilodeau. Surviving family members include one sister, Dianna Guertin; two brothers, Lionel and Normand Bilodeau; two grandchildren, two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

There are no calling hours. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Alice will be laid to rest with her husband Albert, and daughter Anna, in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
